When I first went to my therapist and he started to talk to me about self care, I have to be honest I didn’t have a clue what he meant. I needed a definition, rules, what was allowed and what wasn’t. The concept that it could be whatever I wanted or needed it to be was just a bit too vague and fluffy (even for me!). Whilst I’m still discovering the answer, I now know that it definitely involves the sea, being at the beach, sleep, spending time with friends and drinks around a fire pit… just to name a few.
