Membership | Frequently Asked Questions

Isn't this just marketing?
  • We’re more than just another advertising channel.
  • We’re a social enterprise that aims to turn the negative stigma associated with the midlife, into a positive and empowering message.
  • We do this by stimulating conversation about the midlife and by bringing together practical, action-based support and information that is cohesive, straight talking, & diverse.
  • We think of ourselves as connectors. We bring together the public, who are looking for midlife-related information and services they can trust, with businesses who uphold The Midlife Hub service standards
  • We rely on continual feedback; customers review our members and this feedback is shown on your membership listing. This helps other potential customers decide on your suitability for them.
I've already got lots of customers, so why should I join?
  • By taking the pain and effort out of finding the right audience we’ll save you time and money – you can focus on delivering your service – after all, that’s why you do what you do.
  • You can beat that ‘feast or famine’ feeling by continuous exposure to a relevant audience.
  • It’s the nature of the business our members are in, that customers often ask them for recommendations of other local services. Our members tell us that they sometimes find it difficult to confidently refer other services to their customers. After all, their own credibility is a stake if the recommendation goes sour.
  • Being a member of the The Midlife Hub means you’re in good company, and can benefit from networking and learning from other like-minded local businesses.
  • The more we collectively talk about midlife as being an important life stage, and shout about the solutions that enable people to thrive, we’ll be increase wellbeing.
I get most of my customers by word of mouth referrals, why should I join?

You’re just the type of business we want if your work comes mostly from personal recommendations. Our members are businesses who know that their reputation is their best form of advertising

We raise your business profile by amplifying it through our marketing efforts, and by association with The Midlife Hub brand

Do you cover the whole of the UK?
  • The ultimate goal for our membership directory listing is to cover the whole of the UK. We know that building up the directory coverage will take a little time, so we’re tackling it one location at a time.
  • So if you’re one of the first members in your area to join, this could really help you stand out from the competition.
  • Help us grow; if you know of a business, (or own a business) who’d benefit from membership – we’d love to hear from you.

Member Testimonials

“As soon as I spoke with Deb from the Midlife Hub, I had a good feeling about it. These are people on a mission, one that has breadth and scope, and that aims to make a genuine difference. The Midlife Hub seeks to raise discussion and support for issues around physical, mental, emotional, financial and other practical support for everyone going through midlife, and that can only be a good thing.

Since I joined, they have actively liked, commented on and shared so many of my own social media posts, they have posted my blogs, and they have made me feel like a member of a mutually supportive network of real people. Not just another paying member on a list on a website. Social media, despite its name, can be a lonely activity, so to feel like you have other people rooting for you means a lot”

Kirsten Chick, Founder Connect with Nutrition.
